The colors associated with Litha/summer solstice are white, red, maize yellow or golden yellow, green, blue and tan. Do include these symbols of Litha in your decorating of your mantle, house and altar. If your celebration is an outdoors event decorate your outside as well with some of these colors and ideas. Decorating with Litha ColorsThe colors of gold, yellow and shades of green are perfect for your decorating scheme for Litha. Gold and yellow representing the Sun and greens for the forest and the earth rich with growing plants in their full flower. Use citrus, sunflowers, and other yellow flowers generously in your decorating to give it the punch of color that reflects the glorious sunshine at it’s full strength.

 

Sunflowers belong in your Litha decorations. Use sunflowers in creating unique decorations for your outdoor table. Use a bunch of sunflowers in a clear vase place green or gold glass beads in the bottom to add color and stabilize your bouquet. Cutting the sun flower down almost to the flower head leaving a small amount of stem fit a single sunflower in small jar [make sure the head of the flower rest on the mouth of the jar] such as a baby food jar, choose a ribbon in gold or green to place around the neck of the jar.
