These magnificent  Golden Yellow blossoms  at the Diggi Palace, Jaipur  are a major attraction for Indian Honey Bees ( Scientific Name Apis cerana indica) 

The Yellow Trumpet ( English) , Piliya ( Hindi) ,Tecoma Stans ( Scientific Name) is an over active tree as far as blossoms are concerned. The entire tree is literally cloaked in a robe of Yellow earning it the Hindi name Pilliya( which translated simply means Yellow) .

These gorgeous flowers are honoured as they are the official Floral Emblem of the Bahamas .

Do observe the large inviting mouth of the flower serves as a very effective landing pad for  Indian Honey Bees.

The Pilliya was Introduced into India from the Americas and they seem to flourish in  the warmth of the country.

I’m so excited to be starting the ingredient of the month spotlight. Knowing ingredients and what they are used for is the bread and butter of apothecary. My Experience with SLS Soap and DIY Body Wash Recipe.

IMG_3513Most of you know I make all natural beauty products by now which includes body wash. Though I’ll admit, sometimes I get a little lazy especially after spending all day making products for my apothecary business. I had one (or a few) of those days last month and just couldn’t muster up the energy to make more body wash when I ran out. Suddenly, I remembered the body wash base I’d purchased before I started blending together base ingredients. Eureka!! I was out of making body wash and there was so much of it that I wouldn’t have to make more for a while. All good right?
