Zero waste or minimal waste shops are popping up everywhere, offering conscious consumers a sustainable way to shop for groceries. Now Charlotte’s Cupboard is making grocery shopping that much more convenient for shoppers in Sussex as “the UK’s first packaging-free shop on wheels”.
The vegan-friendly, plastic-free shop, which runs on electric wheels, is a zero-emission and zero-to-landfill operation. Seeking to help locals reduce waste, Charlotte’s Cupboard provides customers with all household essentials – including pulses, spices and cleaning products – without the unnecessary plastic packaging.
As a mobile shop, Charlotte’s Cupboard pops up at various places, including local farmers markets, throughout Sussex during the week as well as offering customers a delivery service. Customers are encouraged to bring their own containers from home and fill them up with the quantity of goods they need.
