Beautiful scenery!

All along the GR34 encircling the whole Brittany the landscape is stunning. From Saint Malo to Saint Brieuc the walk follows the dramatic Emerald Coast, the famous Frehel Cap, the outstanding pink cliffs of Erquy.These Natural sites have been on Unesco List since the 70s.

The Frehel heathland

Spreading over 400 hectares the Frehel heathland is preserved and protected and offers a great variety of environments. The scientists and nature lovers consider it as a giant vegetal lab. (short heathland on the cliffs, gorse and heather moorland on richer grounds). On top of the cliffs can also be observed a few flowers that cling to the rocks with deep roots whereas their leaves in tuft can store humidity.

The coastline around Brittany occupies one third of the total length of the French coasts. Nearly 2 000 km proudly displaying a great diversity of sceneries : Pink Rocks in the Granite Coast, cliffs on the Emerald Coast, fjords in the extreme West, long sandy beaches, pebbles, islands, salt marshes, moor lands, brooms and brackens swept by the wind in winter, tiny ports in natural bays, beautiful towns and villages as Dol de Bretagne, Cancale,Saint Malo, Vannes, Dinard. In addition of all this wealth, Brittany shows a strong identity and cultural traditions.

Music theme: Shallow waters – Chris Norman

It is summer here and time for rest and fun by the sea. Still, most beautiful time of day for me is sunset. And here by Adriatic sea those sunsets are amazing and spectacular.

I tried to capture one of these silent and peaceful moments with all the shades and hues.

Technique I used is ordinary – canvas, paint and brush. I felt that simple, yet beautiful scene like that, doesn’t need any special effects.
