Welcome back to the #steampunk riverboat, my chuckaboos!  There have been several interruptions in the voyage of The Delta Pearl during the past few months.  I appreciate you for steadfastly coming back to the riverboat dock. With that in mind, here are links from the most recent chapters.  The Delta Pearl 19 — Flirt.   The Delta Pearl 18 — Bump.   The Delta pearl 17 –Jump.

Call for things!

This chapter’s random things from readers are cosmetics from Mary J Melange.  Also even though it was part of a comment, Kirt Tisdale mentioned help, which I thought would be a great thing

Speaking of random reader things, I could use more.  If you want to leave a random thing — that existed in the Victorian or Steam Era, please do so…

The Delta Pearl 17 — Jump

Great chapter Teagan, the mysterious cloud, thumping and the lights going out can’t wait to see what that is all about.

Welcome back to the steampunk riverboat, my chuckaboos!

Most of you will recall this serial is a rewrite of a novel I wrote in 2016.  I wasn’t satisfied with it, so I’m adding to it via this serial.  During National Novel Writing Month, I posted a few chapters that did not get a rewrite.  However, today’s chapter is all new material.

I only used one random reader thing —  Locusts from Jacquie Biggar.  I hope you’ll take a moment to visit her blog.

This time preparations are starting for Émeraude’s sweet sixteen party.

Thanks to Dan Antion and Faith Antion for the use of their photos.

All aboard!

Hello, my chuckaboos!  Welcome back to the magical #steampunk riverboat, the The Delta Pearl.

I have a chatty intro this weekend.  Most of it is rooted in National Novel Writing Month,  so that’s were I’ll begin.

This is my eighth year to participate in “NaNoWriMo.” Horror of horrors I’m behind on my average daily word count! (Hey, I saw you roll your eyes.) Everyone tells me “You always say that, Teagan, but you always manage to do it.”  Okay, I admit that. However, the only NaNoWriMo novel I have published, the only one I’ve been satisfied enough with is Atonement, Tennessee.  (I’ve done the editing version of NaNo for a couple of my published books.)  The others await finishing touches… or more.

This year, with my creativity-draining job left behind, I hoped (I mean…

The Delta Pearl, 13 — Agitate

Great chapter, not fond of leeches. A black cloud that sounds like trouble.

Hello, my chuckaboos!  Happy November.  I’m so glad you came back to the The Delta Pearl.

This week’s random reader things

I didn’t make it a “thing,” but Diana Peach recommended an explanation of how the tempest prognosticator works be added to the story.  I try to keep a faster pace in serials, but for the story to stand on its own (without serialized blog introductions), I could see that she was right. That conversation was a few weeks ago. In this chapter I finally worked my way to that.

There are also random reader “things” to fuel this voyage of the steampunk riverboat.  First we have Rum from Resa McConaghy.  Then we have Chicanery, which could only be supplied by John W. Howell!  Finally, a tasty Apple Pie from Dan Antion.  Can you…
