Welcome back, my chuckaboos! I’m so glad you could come to the riverboat for an all new episode of The Delta Pearl. Thank you for being here. Special thanks to everyone who was threatened by the awful fires, but took time to let me know you were okay.
I’ve been gradually working on several things. Rebecca Budd and I (along with superb audio-editing work from her husband, Don) have been cooking up a podcast. She’ll be posting that soon.

Welcome to another episode of The Delta Pearl, my chuckaboos.
This weekend I’m celebrating two days that have personal significance for me. I can’t discuss them, so let’s just say that they are big parts of a personal transformation. That is so true for September 13th that I call it my “rebirth-day.”
As you know, along with this re-write of The Delta Pearl, I’m “bookizing” a previous serial to a dieselpunk novella, and still working on the novel I started last November. I’ve realized that novel is going to be more than one book. So, maybe I’m not proceeding as excruciatingly slowly on that as it feels.

And now, after posting, I see that WordPress has messed with me again. Sigh… I thought I had given a shout out to Resa, for her “thing” Gibson Girl hairdo. But that disappeared. Now it will have to wait until morning when I hope to be able to use the Internet.
Previously the Delta Pearl apparently had greater needs than any of the crew anticipated, because she instigated her bonding ceremony with the librarian from Cairo, IL much sooner than anyone expected.
