A “Black Friday” announcement, and a cover reveal! But first…
WordPress weirdness attacked this post. Sadly some of your comments were lost. I apologize.
Thistledown — Midsumer Bedlam
Several of you will remember Thistledown — Midsummer Bedlam from 2017, when I posted it here as a serial. It’s a set-your-imagination-free, wildly whimsical story. However, it has a dark undercurrent. With that in mind, I describe it as a tale of faeries written for grownups, but suitable for children of all ages.
Thistledown — Midsummer Bedlam is coming your way, in book form, in time for the holidays.

Indeed what was that noise? Of course, she is a little hungover so everything would be loud. Looking forward to your next post.

Welcome back to the steampunk riverboat, my chuckaboos! Thanks for returning, after my detour last weekend to work on National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Then I took time out from both — to revise my “Books” page. I didn’t realize how woefully overdue that was!
If you’ll remember, last time Émeraude had a little too much “tea.” You can review Chapter 14 of The Delta Pearl, here.
In this chapter we learn a little more about Émeraude’s past.
Thanks to Dan Antion for the use of his photos.
All aboard!

Sunlight streamed through the porthole in my quarters the next morning. I awoke muzzy-headed. My mouth felt as though it had been dried out in the desert sun and then stuffed with cotton. I winced and turned…

Delta Pearl announcement. Composite of Pixaby images by Teagan R. Geneviene
Where the heck is Teagan? More importantly, where is The Delta Pearl?
This weekend, I’m taking a break to work on National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).
However, here’s a little teaser from The Delta Pearl’s chapter for next weekend. If you missed the most recent episode of The Delta Pearl, you can find it here.
My jewelry box sat on the vanity next to the brush and mirror set. I opened it, intent on wearing my cameo necklace. It looked exactly like the necklace the woman in the old portrait wore. Naturally whenever I looked at the cameo I thought of the painting and the ever so familiar looking woman who was its subject. Once again I tried to figure out in what other painting I may have seen the model, or…

Hello, my chuckaboos! Welcome back to the magical #steampunk riverboat, the The Delta Pearl.
I have a chatty intro this weekend. Most of it is rooted in National Novel Writing Month, so that’s were I’ll begin.
This is my eighth year to participate in “NaNoWriMo.” Horror of horrors I’m behind on my average daily word count! (Hey, I saw you roll your eyes.) Everyone tells me “You always say that, Teagan, but you always manage to do it.” Okay, I admit that. However, the only NaNoWriMo novel I have published, the only one I’ve been satisfied enough with is Atonement, Tennessee. (I’ve done the editing version of NaNo for a couple of my published books.) The others await finishing touches… or more.
This year, with my creativity-draining job left behind, I hoped (I mean…
