Henry Wu teams up with fellow South Londoner, Banton, for a 5-track EP of broken beat, electric boogie and a flavour that honours early breakbeat pioneers, 4hero.

The self-titled, Henry Wu & Banton EP, is a harmonising blend of beats, that has Henry Wu’s imprint clearly pervading through it and Jamal Banton’s house and breakbeat inspirations.

Henry Wu & Banton EP is expected to be released on the Japanese label Sound of Speed Records on 24 February.

2011 has an early breakbeat flair which honours 4hero, while Dutty Dubz is a dreamy tune that floats in between sexy saxophone, drum and bass riffs with a jazzy backdrop.

Henry Wu, like 4hero’s Dego and Marc Mac, demonstrates that his sounds, his productions and his talents are infinite. And his teaming with Jamal Banton on Henry Wu & Banton EP is a reflection of what musical souls bring together in collaboration…
