A Cat Safe Christmas

Great Advice

  1. Yep. I work at an animal hospital and this is one of our busiest weeks. Medication refills, prescription diets, and last minute exams and vaccines for boarding are par for the course. But so are the frantic calls of pets eating holiday goodies they shouldn’t eat. I’ve been in this field since 2005 and every holiday, it’s the same. Yesterday we had a dog eat a whole bag of M&Ms that his dog-momma left out. Oops. Too late to make him toss it up. Just have to watch for signs of not feeling well because he *could* develop pancreatitis. Which hopefully he won’t. But still, when you have fur-kids, you gotta be careful around the holidays. ❤️

      1. Mine aren’t interested in the tree, either. Thankfully! But the kitchen is a different story here as well. One of mine is very food motivated. 😜
I do enjoy working there most of the time. But it has its moments. Like when it’s time to say goodbye, or the fur-baby can’t hang on any longer. Upset and difficult clients aren’t fun. But those times are far outnumbered by the good ones. ❤️😊
