Indigo Wild: Wild about Goat’s Milk

Indigo Wild: Wild about Goat's Milk

Looking for gifts with a difference this holiday season, then give the gift of beauty made from goat’s milk thanks to beauty brand, Indigo Wild.

Indigo Wild: Wild about Goat's Milk

Goat’s milk may not be on everybody’s body beautiful wish list but this vital ingredient, used across many of Indigo Wild’s beauty products, is naturally ultra-moisturizing and naturally balanced for the skin. With its restorative vitamins, minerals and proteins, goat’s milk is also safe to use on sensitive skin and for those who have usual allergies to dairy.

Indigo Wild stands unique in its championing of goat’s milk, which has been found to be a sustainable product. The goat’s milk range includes Zum moisturizing rubs, and Zum Bars. The Zum Bars are delightful bars of soap which combine natural colors made from mineral pigments, essential oils and all natural ingredients, including a blend of 100% food grade oils. The choice of Zum Bars available are far and wide – everything from the marble-effect Dragon’s Blood to the chakra blends, featuring a brick-orange colored Zum Bar attuned to the sacral chakra and scented with Sandalwood.

Indigo Wild make all of their products at their factory in Kansas City, which are not tested on animals, and are vegetarian and vegan where possible. While Indigo Wild are transparent in listing their ingredients, they do not go as far as to specify where those ingredients come from however. One of the 100% food grade oils in the Zum Bar is palm oil. Although the company have not stated where that palm oil comes from, the use of this oil may raise alarm bells for those who do not support the use of what has now become a largely unsustainable product.

That aside there are products from Indigo Wild which excel in terms of use of natural ingredients, made without the use of palm oil, that would be a welcome gift for the holiday season . There are soy wax-based candles in a unique black glass, natural salt body scrubs and a dragon’s blood range, which includes shea butter bath salts infused with dragon’s blood. For anyone with pets, there is also a Y.U.M. pet range including Zum Bar, liquid doggie soap made from a blend of oils, glycerin and essential oils, as well as a doggie spritzer.

Indigo Wild also support breast cancer and dog charities, and donate $1 from their Betsy line of Zum Bar to Turning Point: The Center for Hope and Healing – a charity to help those living with serious or chronic illnesses. And $1 from every Y.U.M Bar sold goes to Kansas City Sheltie Rescue.

Like Lush, the British-born beauty brand which has taken the world by storm with its natural products and quirky marketing, and other brands like Cow Shed, Indigo Wild has clearly gone for the zany and wacky approach to its marketing. Indigo Wild is a fun and lively brand, there’s no doubt about that, but it’s marketing goes way out there when it comes to some of the descriptions on their website and catalog and it does somehow get lost in translation as it were. But ultimately that’s neither here nor there when it comes to the end product itself, because it’s that which is gonna win the votes and what your intuition is going to be drawn too, and when it comes to use of an exciting blend of natural ingredients, Indigo Wild is doing mother nature justice with some of its formulas.

Also be sure to check out Indigo Wild’s range of household products. Although not the best for gift giving over the holiday season unless you wanna get booted off the table to go and mop the floor or wash the dishes. Indigo Wild’s household range are all made from natural ingredients including sea salt, essential oils and contain no harsh chemicals, making it a perfect alternative for those who want to use products in and around the home which are kind to the environment.
