Great Samhain Craft:Creating a Scrying Mirror
Take a small, 4×6 medium 5×7 or 8×10 photo frame, cleanse, remove glass and paint glass with black enamel, [place on a raised surface to paint,] try to cover completely with a single layer, leave to dry. While your glass is drying decorate your frame. It is best if the frame is wood or black, nothing shiny because that would reflect in your scrying mirror.
If you wish you may empower your mirror by , writing a spell or runes on dark paper or parchment for enhancement and protection and truth. place this on the painted side of glass and then glue on black felt around the edges so no light gets in or the glass gets scratched. place back in frame check for complete blackness. You may also cut a piece of black card paper or craft paper using the glass as a template place this on the back of the glass before putting the back on the frame.
Do a consecrating ritual before using. Do not use for other purposes , and keep covered when not in use with a dark cloth.
