It may be time to take the blinders off and confront that situation/issue which has troubled you for so long. Part of the problem has been the fear of the unknown. It often feels easier to remain in a certain mode, rather than face it head on since you have no idea what lies beyond that point.

You need to know that your confusion as to what to do and how to handle it will dissipate. My motto is when in doubt do nothing, but never let fear hold you back. The answers you seek will be coming your way sooner than you think.
