My little rascal managed to let herself out of her brand new kennel (and I was sooo picky about getting just the right one) with the mobile vet right outside (while I was answering the door). There was no catching her. (Though she was caught as a tiny kitten, there’s no getting away from that feral DNA.) I had to pay the vet $100 for no reason. (In fairness, she took it off the bill when we were actually to have the examination.) But Crystal is terrified of that new kennel now. I don’t think there’s a way to get her “fear scent” out of it, even if i could trust it to contain her… Kitties and kennels…

My cats like things that have my scent on it so I always have a blanket or throw that I use but will not miss available to put in their carrier, I let them sleep in it with the door open so when we do have to travel it is not so disorientating. they have something familiar and when I put them back in it they feel safe again.

Oh, she had been hanging out in the kennel for a week before the vet’s visit… Too smart for her own good. 🐱
