So, here’s the next chapter.

A few notes:

  • If you head over to Eyebrow Debate 2016, you’ll see that there’s an ARC (Advance Readers Copy) contest going on until Sunday night. Details at the link. It’s an e-ARC, so it’s open to international readers.
  • I don’t have a release date for Imitation & Alchemy yet. I’m not doing a preorder. I finished last month and sent it off to the editors, so you’ll get it when they’re finished. If you’ve signed up for the newsletter, you’ll be sure to get an email as soon as it’s available.

Book Recommendation: Trueheart by Mel Sterling

28227024I was very pleased over the holiday break to be able to read an ARC of Trueheart by Mel Sterling. Full disclaimer: I am friendly with Mel on Facebook, and we have a lot of mutual friends, but you guys know I don’t recommend anything I haven’t read and loved for myself. The plus to having author friends is that I get to read these kind of awesome advanced copies ahead of time and give you guys a heads-up! (And trust me, you guys want the heads-up on this one.)

Trueheart is the first in a new series called Portland After Dark. It was ripping good fun, and a contemporary fantasy I’d recommend to all my readers. Fast-paced action pushes the reader through an intricate and intriguing plot, while a well-drawn romance anchors a fantasy world I’m eager to revisit. I stayed up until 2am to finish.

Imitation & Alchemy - 3DHappy New Year, everyone! 

It’s been one of those weekends for me. Nice, but busy. Hence the delay in the next chapter of Imitation & Alchemy. Sometimes you need to post on your website, and other times you need to watch Lord of the Rings with your ten-year-old and put Legos together.

I hope you enjoy Chapter Seven! Things are definitely heating up in Italy, even if they’re pretty darn cold in California.
