Thank you I really needed the laugh.
If Thanksgiving had a Grinch, it would be me this yearOddly enough, here in the UK there isn’t much interest in celebrating the American Pilgrims’ survival of religious persecution and New England winters, so giving thanks isn’t getting a lot of airtime here in Scotland this week. Last week as i gathered ingredients for our traditional American dry turkey shreds, I asked you lovely readers to remind me of things to be thankful for. I got some wonderful responses across social media. I’m particularly grateful for the many of you who reminded that giving thanks isn’t something for just one day a year. Other’s had more specific things they wanted to mention. A random sample:

Here’s a little humor with a good moral
The Pastor’s Ass
A Pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The Pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.
The local paper read: PASTORS ASS OUT FRONT.
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the Pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.
The next day, the local paper headline read: A BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR’S ASS.
This was too much for the Bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The Pastor decided to give it to the Nun in a nearby convent.
The local paper,hearing the news posted the following headline the next day:
NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.
The Bishop fainted! He informed the Nun that she would have to get rid of…
