Hmm… I had an allergic reaction to a weed I was pulling over 2 weeks ago (a sore and rash every where its spores touched my arms). It seemed to get into my system, and now any little thing makes it worse — Including hives on my face from stress.
I wonder if it relates to this. The not coexisting part.

Could be or you just handled poison oak and if that is the case you will need to wash everything you touched especially your bedding. Your weed sounds toxic.
