Warheart by Terry Goodkind
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Richard Rahl is dead, the Sword of Truth is in Kahlan’s care. As she stands over Richard’s funeral pyre Kahlan can not give the order to set the fire that would destroy her husband’s body. Instead she choose to seek a way to bring him back from the underworld. She must first seek help from a Witch Woman who had already predicted that one who was close to Kahlan and Richard would kill him. The next step for her will be to understand the bond between Richard and the Sword of Truth. Time is not on her side as she must pull all this information together, find someone to seek out Richard’s soul as it is hidden in the underworld and prepare for the end of the living world as the veil between the world of life and death disintegrate.
It is a gripping story from the first word to the last. If you have followed the life of Richard Rahl [Lord Rahl] and his wife the Mother Confessor Kahlan you will be able to appreciate this book even more as they once again find their lives being controlled by prophecy. Warheart brings it all together along with Kahlan you the reader will learn the truth of the Sword of Truth and Richards long connection with it and prophecy. Connections that was forge long before he was born.
It is a riveting read. I was impressed with the way all of the questions from the previous series was neatly answered.
