I like this idea of finding names. I usually wait for my animals and characters to “tell me their names” ok so I am strange.

Hi Kristina. Thanks for inviting me to your Mystery Mondays.
What do you think about names – generally? Or do you think about them? Most people don’t. I however, could really enjoy a big metaphysical discussion about names, but that’s not where I’m headed here. When I started this blog, I promised myself I’d stick to things related to writing or my books.
Names are incredibly important in life and in fiction. The names of my pets were something I chose very carefully, to suit them.

😀 I get what you mean Dyanna. In a way the difference is in how we describe our thought processes. I figure that when the name feels right, they’ve “told me”. Despite obsessive research, the name also has to feel right to me.
I have an epic fantasy, unpublished. (Actually I daydream of it being an anime series… now who’s strange? 🙂 ) I had a perfect name for one secondary character. Then I realized his name was a phrase Robert Jordan used significantly in his Wheel of Time series… It was gut wrenching for me, but I changed the name. The character clearly had the name he wanted, but I changed it. LOL so the drama. 😀
