Hello all!

I’m so excited to be starting the ingredient of the month spotlight. Knowing ingredients and what they are used for is the bread and butter of apothecary. I believe you can make better decisions about what you put in and on your body when you are educated about the ingredients being used in products.

First up is Eucalyptus, a refreshing mint like fragrance with a touch of menthol and clean air. The Eucalyptus tree is one of the tallest trees in the world and is native to Australia although can now be found growing in California, India, Southern Europe and South Africa. Eucalyptus has a long and rich history of healing. It is sometimes referred to as The Fever Tree because of it’s antimicrobial properties that are very effective in fighting bacteria.
