New Year’s Eve for Witches

It’s New Year’s Eve tonight. For several years this day had no particular meaning to me. It was just one of those things people do in order to meet their need for ritual and renewal without actually connecting to the patterns and cycles of nature. I felt like a ‘proper Witch’ and a proper Witch’s New Year celebration took place on or around Samhain. Then I entered training in a line of Traditional Witchcraft – and this attitude changed.
