App Review: iLuna for iOS and Android

iLuna is an interactive astrological lunar calendar app, available on iOS and Android, that displays information about the Moon’s phase, its sign of the zodiac and the void-of-course periods for any day.

This is a simple app, nothing fancy design-wise but more of an information resource, which for magic users is a great tool in finding out the best times to do magic wherever in the world you are based.

The layout is simple and easy to use, and the information is brief yet comprehensive.

iLuna, developed by Sirius Lab Ltd, provides the user with information on the current lunar phase, the Moon’s position in the zodiac and a void-of-course period for any day from the year 2000 to the year 2029. It also provides a description for each phase and sign.

You can navigate through the information in various ways – including phase-by-phase, day-by-day or month-by-month – for your convenience.

Phases show you the energy of the day, signs – the mood of the day, while the void-of-course periods might tell you when it is better not to do certain things.

To calculate the times, iLuna uses the time zone of the device on which it runs, so if your iPhone or iPod touch shows your current time zone, iLuna’s information will automatically attune to that, providing accurate data based on your location.

If you are looking for a tool that alerts you of the optimum times to do magic, iLuna is a perfect companion so you never miss out. At $1.99, iLuna is a small price to pay for a very resourceful app.
